THE DANGERS OF FLORIDA ROADS

Florida might be a great place to live, but there are also a few hidden dangers one might want to avoid. One of them are some of the most dangerous roads one might come across. According to a study conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration published by the Auto Insurance Center, I-95, which runs through Florida, had 1.73 fatal accidents per mile in 2014.

Distracted drivers play a huge role in some of these accidents and although most of them are avoidable, they really aren’t avoided and, as such, one needs to take care in order to make sure not only that he is safe, but also that the unpredictable is expected.

Getting in contact with a personal injury attorney in West Palm Beach, for example, or any other accident attorney available, might be a good way to prevent the rabbit hole from being deeper in case anything happens while out on the road, as everyone knows bad things don’t just happen to other people.

As a matter of fact, the SunSentinel has, in 2010, also pointed out that Florida’s stretch of I-95 was the deadliest road in the United States, according to federal figures, citing the same fatal accident per mile rate mentioned above.

The Orlando Business Journal has in the past cited the same figures, while including I-4 and Interstate 75 among the top 20 most dangerous roads in the country. Let’s not forget, however, that for every accident in which someone is fatally wounded, there are a few in which injuries aren’t as serious.

Distracted drivers aren’t the only problem, of course. Poor vehicle maintenance, drunk driving, weather conditions, and other causes may cause a lot of accidents as well but, as a general rule of thumb, distraction I a huge problem as these are huge roads in which driving can be a little monotonous.

Moreover, Florida’s roads, generally, may also be influenced by drivers coming from these roads, or simply other distracted drivers, that don’t just put their safety in jeopardy, as everyone on the road might be involved in an unfortunate situation without really asking to be a part of it.

Taking into account rogue drivers are one of the main sources of the problem, an accident lawyer may legally represent individuals in order to help them get compensation for injuries they incur on account of the wrongdoing and/or negligence of other drivers.

If you now someone who’s been a victim of one of the dangers scouring Florida’s roads, attempt to raise awareness so that other drivers begin correcting their behavior – if you can save one life, your efforts will be more than worth it. If you know someone who can get compensated for being a victim of a negligent driver, don’t hesitate to talk to him about the advantages of hiring a lawyer.
