GOODBYE 2020. HELLO 20121!

What A Year 2020 Has Been!

Yes, that is an understatement.

The year 2020 has brought many challenges, controversies, heartaches, disappointments, and a pandemic of the likes we have not experienced in over a century. COVID19 disrupted one of the most significant economic recoveries in recent history, and countless businesses had to close their doors temporarily. Sadly, some companies shut down forever.

People worldwide felt the harsh consequences of the pandemic: many families lost loved ones. Millions of employees lost their jobs, while others struggled and continue to wrestle with health issues brought on by this horrific illness.

During these challenging times, essential workers, including doctors, nurses, firefighters/paramedics, police officers, supermarket workers, and many other unsung heroes, go on about their jobs without missing a beat to ensure that some of us could maintain a semblance of everyday life. Many of us adjusted to working from home – forced to remain in our homes with our families to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Schools were closed, gatherings were prohibited, and outside human touch seemed to be lost altogether. Thankfully, technology has kept us all in touch; ZOOM meetings have become a new normal, a way to see and hear our loved ones and friends while also staying connected with our jobs while working from home.

Throughout all this, we have had one another to lean on. The slogan “we are all in this together” resonated with many of us daily and is still true to this day. While it appears that we’re reaching the end of this nasty virus, thanks to a new vaccine, along with finding more efficient ways to mitigate other risks of spreading the virus, we must remain vigilant. Let’s continue to follow the guidelines set forth by the Centers For Control and Prevention (CDC).

No doubt about it, 2020 has been a difficult year. Despite all this, we at the Hughes Law Firm, P.A., have been committed to taking care of you, our clients. A significant amount of our clients are First Responders, their families, and friends. We thank you and appreciate you for placing your life on the line for the rest of us. We hope everyone had a great holiday season, and we want to wish you a Happy, Healthy, and prosperous new year 2021!
